Short Description: You control a little duck name Jeff who is stuck in his worst nightmare! One day Jeff wakes up, finds himself in a strange place and starts to uncover the reason behind this abnormal nightmare. Duckmares is a 2d top-down action/adventure game with a fluid duck controls, bunch of zombies, "mind-blowing" puzzles and an old-looking-aristocrat-professor-duck named Dr. Docturne!

What I Did?

Developed for the "Introduction to Game Engines" and "Fundamentals of Game Design II" courses in Bahcesehir University (Digital Game Design), "Duckmares" was our final project for the 2nd semester. The project was awarded by our teachers as one of the highest-graded projects in both courses (A).

  • Designed and developed the game's systems, core mechanics, and technical interactions within the Unity Engine while also managing the team and the project on Trello.
  • Focused on creating the "game feel" in every possible area; from character controls to combat, and to the environmental/NPC interactions.
  • Established the overall vision for the game and analyzed the players' behaviors as well as their motivations constantly.
  • Delivered the project under quick iteration cycles.
